Our Mission

Here at Chikovani Basketball Academy, our mission is to teach youth the game of basketball and to promote their social, emotional, and physical well-being through skill development.

Chikovani Basketball Academy offers co-ed training for ages 6 and up in a safe and welcoming environment located in Canfield, Ohio. Our dedicated coaches are highly skilled and committed to providing professional basketball training services to boys and girls. We aim to enhance each child's social and basketball skills, fostering self-confidence, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and nurturing leadership abilities to help our athletes become successful individuals. At Chikovani Basketball Academy, every athlete is valued, and their well-being and growth are our top priorities.

Our vision is to build a community where children have fun, implement healthy lifestyle choices, and learn self-discipline, leadership skills, and the value of teamwork, which enables them to build lifelong friendships and experiences.

    Rezi Chikovani

    FOUNDER/HEAD COACH

    Rezi's basketball journey began with a professional career in the Republic of Georgia, playing for Sokhumi. In 2017, he moved to Brooklyn, NY, earned a full scholarship to ASA College, and won the NJCAA Division 1 Regional Championship. Rezi continued his studies at Nyack College, where he earned his master’s degree in business administration and made it to the NCAA Division 2 tournament.

    In 2022, after 5+ years of coaching experience, Rezi established Chikovani Basketball Academy.
